Will Sater

“Best of Show” at Dixons Gunmaking Fair in 1989. This rifle was made by Will Sater under the tutelage and in the shop of renown gun maker Keith Casteel. Keith has just been inducted into the Safari Club International Muzzle Loading Hall of Fame. He is also a member of the KRA, CLA and NRA. Keith has been making flintlocks since 1969 and prefers the early sty; pf gun such as Jeagers and the traditional styles. This gun features a phenomenal curly maple full stock with profuse relief carving accentuated with silver wire inlay. The gun was not made from a kit. All of the furniture is hand made from German silver and eloquently engraved. The lock is also hand made except for the inside mechanism which was fashioned from Siler castings. The double set triggers are from Davis and the swamped 34”, 54 caliber barrel is from Getz. This rifle was featured on the front cover of Muzzle Blast magazine in the October 1989 issue. It is signed “Will Sater #3” and remains in “Mint” condition.
