Jeff Bibb Hunting Pouch and Horn

The pouch is based on original Southern Appalachian fabric / canvas bags. This one is 6.5" wide by 8.5" deep, made from heavy hemp canvas, and features a bark tan flap. There is an inside pocket sewn to the back. The strap is 3/4" wide. The canvas has been waxed / greased to waterproof it somewhat.

The horn is typical for a small, mountain horn, perhaps for a squirrel rifle. It measures about 8" around the curve. The flat pine base plug is fitted to the natural shape of the horn, and has a small, flat staple for a strap. The spout plug is leather. The horn was hand-scraped with a pocket knife, as were many originals.

Both are pictured with an original Southern mountain rifle of about .34 caliber. The entire stock is decorated with quaint metal inlays of various shapes.
