Flat Powder Horn by "Wild Willie" Frankfort

This is a 13 inch Flat Powder Horn with an applied fixed tip.  It is engraved with the setting sun and is nicely antiqued.

The reverse side features a Sailors Memento.  The Privateers were sailors and common soldiers.  A law was passed to keep sailors on all ships.  Privateers could become wealthy so the law stated that they must have a little less than 2/3 professional seamen as crew and the rest were to be made up of soldiers or other trades. All references are historical in nature and are factual for the time period.
