Late Southwest Virginia Rifle by Gary Rummell

This is my interpretation of a rifle that would have been built and used around the East Tennessee, Southwest Virginia, and North Carolina Appalachian borders during the early 1800's

Built with a Colerain 44" Oct/Round .40 caliber barrel, modified Davis Late Ketland Lock, Davis double set triggers, Curly Maple stock, Iron hardware and copper inlays and overlays. The entire rifle sports both engraving and low relief carving.

The hunting bag, small bag and leather journal were made by the late Susan Shroyer, the Southern banded horn and bag knife by Steve Shroyer, the pan brush and forged vent pick by myself.
